Sunburst '09 (2)

I was almost dreading the concert because of the scorching afternoon sun but much to my suprise the weather was beautiful at the concert site. &ONLY the concert site. The sun was up and shining but the whole place was sort of shaded. There was a thoughtfully placed hill to block the sun. haha.

Pictures in chronological order:
Gorgeous

So was it worth it? well, despite all the Korn hype, I would have to say that N.E.R.D. were the better live band. They gave a 100%, where else I personally felt Korn were predictable and self-absorbed, which i guess did do them justice in terms of delivering their genre of music, which was very overwhelming.

Sunburst '09 (1)

and suddenly i'm utteЯly pleased with myself foЯ buying the eaЯly biЯd tickets. Some might descЯibe it as going on a blind date and I would agЯee.

TomoЯЯow i'll be watching a band that i wouldn't exactly say i'm a huge fan of but i did wЯite an essay and did an oЯal pЯesentation about them in foЯm3; the band that bЯought you singles like Blind, A.D.I.D.A.S., FЯeak on a Leash and many otheЯ number one singles that neveЯ made it to Malaysian Яadio aiЯwaves (for obvious reasons).

The idea of it still seems so distant.

Something worth bloging about.

I got back my hacked account!
I wrote a e-mail to the Technical Support team and they actually responded.

"Hello Matthew, Thank you for writing back to Windows Live Technical Support. This is Luis and I understand that you have an issue with the password of your matt_bcwy@hotmail.com account. I can imagine how inconvenient this may have been and I look forward to assisting you today..."

How AWESOME is that?

In doing so one would think that the "person" at the receiving end would be a... robot? Maybe Luis is a robot...

ANYWAYs, Credits go to Luis.

& to the Hacker...

(i hope you're reading this and to the other ppl that know me... you've probably never seen me smile like this before)

Parkway Drive live in KL

Was definitely a taste of the real local underground metal scene.

The MCPA (chinese assembly hall) hall hosted the event. It was kinda funny cause there was also another event taking place in the hall below. So, the place was crawling with Malaysia's rich/important chinese people and scrawny looking concert goers.

The worst thing about the concert was that there wasn't any air-con! only 6 wall mounted fans that weren't even rotating. It was so hot and humid that the windows were all fogged up. Other than that the band put up a pretty good show, performing most of their songs like:
The Siren's Song, Feed Them To Them Pigs, Idols and Anchors, Dead Man's Chest, Smoke 'Em If Ya Got em and loads more.

Last but not least, the company was awesome too. I didn't end up going alone, i was accompanied by Jason, Josh, Sufian, Poh Hock, Zhi Kang.
