Random

It's late and i'm sleepy. i think a blood vessel in my right eye popped, yet here i am waiting up to update my itunes. it's fascinating thinking about how much time and effort i've put into my itunes library. So... i shall force myself to write about what's on my mind rather than risk falling asleep/keeping my laptop idle.

i watched 2 movies this week 007 and Twilight (MMHMM, 1st day ya know...haha)
Now, on whether both these movies are worth watching.... my dad once told me that:
"A good movie is one that keeps you thinking about it even after it ends..."
- Andy Chong

conclusion:
i'll just say that the
gloomy & rainy
weather this past few days has never looked this good :)

Supermassive Black Hole - Muse
Decode - Paramore
Talullah - Jamiroquai

A Little's Enough

I'm sorry I have to say it but you look like you're sad
Your smile is gone, I've noticed it bad
The cure is if you let in just a little more love
I promise you this
a little's enough

RTOC ;(

ahhh, from can't wait to can't go.
Dammit.

I guess this kinda also means that the line-up's not that fantastic. If not i would have done everything in my power to have gone. tsk

besides, i wouldn't have wanted to listen to nintendo core and J-rock music for the opening acts

UnderOath (headliner)
Bullet For My Valentine
(co-headliner)
Norma Jean
Bring Me The Horizon
August Burns Red

now, THAT's a real Taste of Chaos International line-up.
I guess i can wait till that day comes :)

RTOC!?

On the 8th of November 2008 Taste of Chaos is coming to this part of the world! (duh, Singapore)
It's gonna be sooooo AWESOME, Headlined by Atreyu and backed up by As I Lay Dying, Story of the Year, Mucc and HORSE the Band. This is like a dream come true, seriously. I've always wanted to attend either Taste of Chaos or Van's Warptour.

can't wait.

Monster?

I've just come to realize something about myself. I like the idea of there being something out there that's big and beyond us, not spiritually but literally. If only the glowing eyes got up and terrorized the ballet school. . .

Singfest 08

...Last weekend (2nd.August.08) was awesome! I can now tear off a part from my imaginary list (which is very real indeed) of things to do before i die. And that would be the part about seeing New Found Glory live in concert :) Best part, i managed to get guitar picks from Chad Gilbert (guitar) and Ian Grushka (bass). How i got it? ask me. too lazy to type it out.

ROUND II

Lostprophets

Simple Plan
(I'd Do Anything ;)

Heh.
Didn't bother to stay for Travis. Besides, at that point of time i couldn't hold my neck up straight due to the excessive headbanging. My elbows were bruised (still are) and the worst part, i felt like someone was pulling a crowbar up my trachea everytime I inhaled. well, that's the Price to Pay. . .

Not for the faint of heart

Comeback Kid live in KL

Allah, Poh Hock, ME

Yup, that dudes name is Allah. Anyway, Comeback Kid's gig here in Zouk, KL was SICK! With pretty good opening acts (Restraint, Love Me Butch, P.O.H, Second Combat), hands down it was the craziest concert that i have ever been to. The crowd was really rowdy (not my kinda thing), it couldn't get any rowdier. There was moshing, body slamming, stage diving... you name it. Stupidest thing was that there was a group of Malay shufflers shuffling and doing some stupid dance routine.

oh ya, moshing etiquette's is a universal understanding :)

So much for a "Sunny" day...

15th March '08 - Sunburst

Damn, it rained when we got there at 4.30p.m. and all i could think of was going bare foot as to not get my beige-velvet like-Nike shoes wet but the idea couldn't stand a second to the idea of my feet being stompped on by a roudy crowd. hmmm, i really gotta invest in a pair of Crocs. Think about it... A pair of Crocs would make the best footwear for a situation such as this. It's got lots of holes to allow air circulation and i highly doubt that it would be really uncomfortable if water got in it.

ANYWAY,

i intended to go solo but was accompanied by two of my most unlikely childhood friends to go for this sorta thing, Mr.Check (isaac) and Charisse. We managed to catch these bands/groups (in chronological order) :

1. George Clinton + P-Funkadelics
(this is the best electric guitar solo i've ever heard)

they were amazing.

2. One Buck Short
damn, i love this band. oh ya, i got into my first mosh pit too:) wohoo!!

-a shot with Mookey after signing my CD

support them!

3. the Roots
didn't really care much for this one.

4. Incognito

this one too, haha

5. John Legend
I honestly din't really enjoy this o
ne. sure, he has a couple of skills and tricks up his sleeves but it gets monotonous after half an hour

6. Incubus - the real deal !

hands down, the best performance of the day and probably in Malaysia since the past few years. it was crazy, the crowd knew EVERY song. Top class quality performance. they
opened with "A Kiss To Send Us Off" and closed with "Aqueous Transmission". i got some pretty great shots :)
